Double duty

This post is covering both Saturday and Sunday.

I am grateful for General Conference.  For the opportunity I have of hearing from living prophets on a semi-annual basis.  Grateful that I can teach my children that God loves all his children and has not left us alone to fend for ourselves.  He is there.

Grateful for messages that uplift and inspire.

At this Easter time, I'm also grateful for Jesus Christ.  I am grateful for his life, his mission, his willingness to lay down his life and take it up again.  I am grateful that because he died, I can live again and because he lives again, I can live forever.

Thankful for insurance that allows me to find a PT I feel comfortable with.

Also, for knowledgeable PTs who can hopefully get this shoulder of mine to cooperate and fix itself so I don't have to have surgery.

For Math Help

Today, I'm thankful for great teachers who are sincerely concerned about their students.  I'm grateful that this math teacher really wants her students to "understand" not just pass the test.  Grateful they are willing to give up their "personal" time to help!

Weather....

YES!  I said weather.  REALLY!  I'm grateful that the ground was warm enough that the snow that fell ALL DAY LONG didn't stick to anything but my grass.

I'm also grateful I could be helpful to my neighbors. :)

Good Friends

Today, I'm thankful for good friends that help my kids be happy.

Double stroller and great weather

Today I'm grateful for good weather and a double stroller.  Not only does it allow me to get out with the boys but we were able to get the car IM and Safety inspected, the boys got out of the house and I got some exercise.  Woo Hoo!!

Also grateful for people who sell their good condition used stuff on KSL for really cheap!

Family....they're the BEST!

I am SO grateful for extended family. I love that we can get together often for celebrations and just for Family Home Evening.  My kids are so lucky to grow up near their aunts, uncles cousins and grandparents.

Tonight I'm thankful for the chance Chelsea and I had to attend the YW General Meeting.  It was AMAZING.  It rang home to so many of the things she talks about dealing with right now.  So grateful for inspired leaders who listen to the spirit and follow promptings.

Day One....

Day One:  Today I am grateful for 2 things....

First is My Savior.  I would not be who I am without Him.  Words cannot describe.

 Number two for today is the Scriptures.  I am working to be better at reading them daily. Our RS presidency unknowingly helped me out with this.  100 days closer to Christ is keeping me on track.  It may take me more than 100 days but I'm not quitting!

First Post

First off, I can't say that I came up with this on my own. I stole the idea from my SIL Jen. I agree with her that this is a negative world and I can feel myself being pulled in. SO....this is for me and if you want to tag along, you're welcome to. :)

I've adopted her ground rules:

1: I have to find at least ONE thing to be thankful for everyday

2: I cannot repeat entries. I having to find something different to be thankful for everyday.

3: I will do this for a WHOLE year! By the end I will have at least 365 pictures of things that I am thankful for.
